How do I force a valid odometer entry by people when they are fueling vehicles?

Requiring valid odometer entries for data integrity

To configure the vehicles in Data Tools, navigate to the Vehicles section, then select Properties, and proceed to the Odometer Options section.

To enable the system to prompt for a keypad entry for the odometer, ensure the following settings are correctly configured: set the Meter Type to Odometer, uncheck the RF Equipped box, check the Range Check Manual Input box, and enable both the Keep Zero Records and Force Valid Manual Odometer Entry options. Additionally, you have the option to activate the Show User Valid Odometer Range feature. When this option is enabled, the valid odometer range will be displayed, assisting users in entering an appropriate odometer value. It is important to note that the Require Vehicle Presence option should not be utilized. Save changes and repeat for each vehicle. The Vehicle Options Utility can be used to setup multiple vehicles in the same manner.

The system will now mandate fuel lane personnel input an odometer reading that falls within the range of the Last Valid Odometer Reading displayed on the Odometer/Service Data tab. However, they are not required to input an odometer that aligns with the Current Protected LTD Mileage. For instance, the system will reject any odometer entry that is below 77704.0 in the example below, which represents the Last Valid Odometer Reading.
